I Had Always Loved Looking At The Moon Light How It Shines In The Back Yard.It Was Quite A Fascination For Me.I'm Intrigued By Such Details That Show Up When Captured On Camera.

A Few Years back I Had Learned The Names Of The Full Moon For Each Month And The Meanings.These Names Came From The Native Americans Many Years Ago.Every Month I Made Sure Of Photographing It's Beauty When Full,Half And Even Crescent.So Now Here Are The Names.

January-Full Wolf Moon
Deep Winter Cold And Snow,This Is Also When Wolves Are Very Hungry And Howl At The Moon.

February-Full Snow Moon
This Is The Snowiest Month Out Of The Year.Very Harsh Cold Weather Making It Difficult For Hunters To Hunt For Food.

March-Full Worm Moon
This Is When The Earth Warms Up.Earth Warm Castings Appear And Robin Birds Return.This Is The Last Full Moon Of Winter Too.Personally A Time I Look Forward To When Spring Is Near.

April-Full Pink Moon
This Gets The Name From Pink Flowers Called Phlox Which Are A Type Of Low Growing Pretty Ground Cover.Usually In Bloom During This Month.

May-Full Flower Moon
May Flowers Are In Full Abundance Just About Everywhere.

June-Full Strawberry Moon
Named For The Short Strawberry Season We Have.In Europe They Call It The Rose Moon.During This Month Roses Are Flourishing.This Is My Favorite Time Of The Year.I Just Love How The Longest Day Of the Year Is June 21st Also Summer.

July-Full Buck Moon
Sometimes This Can Be Called Thunder Moon Due To The Thunderstorms Produced Heavily In This Month.Also New Antlers Form On Bucks Pushing Out Of Their Forehead In Velvet Fuzz.

August-Full Surgeon Moon
This Was Named After The Fishing Tribes Because They Caught Their Biggest Fish During This Month.

September-Full Corn Moon
The Native Americans Marked This Name Since Corn Was Harvested In This Month.

October-Full Harvest Moon
This Bright Moon Was Named By The Native Americans Because Of The Falling Leaves,Deer Fattens And Foxes Were Able To Be Seen In The Distance.It Was Time To Harvest And Store Up For The Long Cold Winter Ahead.

November-Full Beaver Moon
Beavers Are Preparing For Winter.This Moon Is Even Known As The Frosty Moon Too.

December-Full Cold Moon
This Gets It's Name For The Cold And Short Days. Also Considered The Long Cold Night Moon.Since This Can Be The Coldest Month.
